Hi Sarra

There is a Wilfred D. Berry on the National Archives, Uk, website. - naa.gov.uk, go to Documents online and key in his name with dates 1914-1920.  There are three medal cards for this name. He was in the Royal Fusiliers, a corporal, regimental no. 16825 and also 6448573.  The third medal card records a particular medal (hard to read) "& Clasp Iraq".  Could be your man?

the website regiments.org may be helpful in finding out where this regiment was, and which battalions.

Diana

Hi Diana,

I have downloaded the Medal Card for Wilfred D Berry.

So now I know he was in the Army during WW1, also his rank and Regiment.

This information is just great - helps me fill in some missing pieces of my tree.

I think now I will post on the Armed Services board and see if I can find any more information for him.

Many thanks for your time in helping me find Wilfred Berry.

Regards
Sarra :) :)
