In THE FRIEND Vol 1910-11 p239 is an article following the death of William Warburton Davidson.
Quote: The following extract from his diary date (First Month) 1891, recalls his early years: "I took the opportunity of going to Gilford, and walked to Tullyish Church, to look at my father's grave. The old church is down, but as I walked round the ruins, many memories of early boyhood came back. There I was baptised as an infant; there prepared for and received confirmation; there still under sixteen years of age I received the Communion. I went along the road to the school-house where as a very little boy I learned slowly and painfully a little of the first elements of education". Not until about he was aabout 30 years of age, and already married, did he come into close connection with Friends.
I think looking at the Tullyish Methodist Church records might be a good start. According to the Ros Davies site: Baptisms from 1836 and Marriages from 1838. Records held locally with the Methodist Historical Society.
