Im researching the family of John Oates from Sheffield c1796. John marrid Ann Sutton and had three daughters, Maria Sutton Oates 1829, Ann Sutton Oates 1831 and Frances Sutton Oates 1833, all born and Christened in Sheffield.

The family moved to Clapham in the late 1840s where John worked as a gardener. The girls all married.

I would love to find out some more information about john, because at the moment he just a name.
