1851 - Christopher Slinger's marriage

Thanks for coming back and what you say does makes sense.   Pity that Christopher is not recorded with wife Elizabeth in 1851 so I wonder where he was hiding?   

I don't have access to 1861 and you say Christopher is recorded as widowed.   Free BMD records the death of a Margaret Slinger Jun Q 1855 in Clitheroe (registration area for Slaidburn) and also the marriage of a Christopher Slinger to Margaret Rudd (born Slaidburn) in Sep Q 1866 in Kendal.    I don't have access to 1871 so where they were living is unknown but jumping to 1881 Christopher and Margaret are living in Walton le Dale Lancashire and the household includes 5 of their children all born in Liverpool.

There are so many Slinger's born Slaidburn  so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks for all the additional information for Christopher and family.

Free BMD records the death of a Christopher Slinger Sep Q 1897 in Preston age 78.   This age coincides with 'my' Christopher's dob of 1819.
