Hello

I visited the ruins of the pub yesterday with the Gt Gt Grandson of John Curtis. It is in very poor condition, though all the rooms are still there, and you can see the original layout of the pub. I took about 10 photos, if you want them send me a Pm.

Hello
My great grandfather was John curtis, Elizabeth Jane was my Grandmothers sister. They lived at the Robin then moved to the Plasycoed c1906. I'm in regular contact with one of Elizabeths grand children in Wrexham. I can't attach a photo the file is too large.

This is correct. The family did live at the robin hood inn but moved to the plas y coed hotel. John had 1 daughter, Cleo I believe, with his first wife and 11 more children with Mary Jane. Lydia, one of their youngest daughters is my great grand mother. Her daughter (my nan) wrote a blog containing a lot of information about her family with photos called Annie of penygarn which may interest you.
