Hi Scully,
Many thanks for your reply.  At this point I have no way of confirming that this is the correct family, but will keep these details on file for future reference.

Hi,

Would you be able to look up Michael McLoughlan/McLachlan/McLaughlang etc.  in the original Ayr Cemetery.

His wife was Agnes McLachlan nee McArthur and she died in 1866.

Children:

Michael
John
James
Elizabeth
Agnes

I think Michael died between 1841 and 1851 if that helps.

Thanks and fingers crossed!

Cheers

Would it be possible to look up Sarah Park Wilson - born 1811 died about 1842.  I believe she was buried in the New Cumnoch Cemetery, Ayr.  Unfortunately, this is all the information I can provide.  I would appreciate any help - this one is my brick wall.

Scott.

I'm looking for the family grave of William Young at Beith Cemetery. I don't know the date of his death, but I'm guessing about 1840 to 1870. Can you help please

Hi,

Trying to reach Retsina and Kb0fhp if your still interested. Haven't been on here for sometime so hope I'm doing this right.

I live in the US so don't have direct contact, however, to find cemeteries in Scotland in general or registrars that hold information. I use a website, https://www.nrscotland.gov.uk/files/registration/reglist.pdf

You just have to find the area you want to search, for instance, Old Cumnock Cemetery is listed under East Ayrshire, not sure about Beith, maybe North Ayrshire. First check to make sure which function they do. In the far right column it will list Manuel, Registration only, or Multi-function.
Try for Multi-function first, and if this isn't available try one of the others but explain what you are after and if they will forward or sent you the correct address.

Good luck,
