Glad to be of help...And that I guessed your chaps name!!

"Cook" was the only name on your signature that matched the orbat of Principle!

It's only right to have people remembered and commemorated...

If their names are spoken and their deeds remembered, they are never forgotten...

Hi, As I live here in Malta, would you like to see what I can find here, you might also like to contact the Submarine Museum in Gosport who may certainly be able to help with your research. Cheers Steve :)

The "Special Forces Club" in London would be worth a punt...

Hi Scrimnet, Very fine research on the chariots that you have done, most of my research has surrounded the 10th Submarine Flotilla under the Command of (Shrimp) Simpson, based on Manoel Island, here in Malta. And a very fine contribution to the war in the Mediterranean they made too. Salute them All!! Cheers, Steve :)

Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Steve - I'm not sure what else there is left to find out but if you are able to find out anything in Malta I'd be grateful.

Widenstrom (Chicago and Minnesota)
Swain (Cripplegate, St Lukes)
Wolfe (St Giles in the Fields)
Willis (Gt. Leighs; Brentford)
Bryant (Bristol, Glos)
Searle (Kent/Surrey)
Keyworth (Yorkshire)
Biggs (Harrow Weald)
Collins (Harrow Weald and Wiltshire)
Langston (Harrow Weald)

Hi Again, You could check out the magazine After the Battle to see if they have possibly covered the operation, although again I think the Submarine Museum, Gosport, would love to here from you. Cheers  :)
