Hi Adrian - back again?

Best thing is to post again on the threads that relate to the folk you are still seeking.  You have quite a collection by now & as Medhist suggests, it is easier if we know specifically who you're looking for.

Welcome back anyway!

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Hello "Again"  ;D everybody

I have the entries for the Burgess's except one that is Spelt  "Richard or Robert ? Ballar" a weaver

Below is what I know about my ealiest "Proven" Ballard ancester as follows:

William Ballard served in the 39th Regiment of Foot. (military pension records) born, circa 1749 at Bristol, (WHERE).

Married 1771 at King Stanley, Gloucestershire, to Anne Lusty By Licence, Occupation "Wool Scribbler later recorded as a Soldier & Shoemaker". [Marriage by Licence in this period indicates Non Conformity].

On the back of the Marriage Licence, handwritten was, " J. B. 12th May 1770 " and pre-dates the licence application which was 22 Feb 1771, could this be the details of his father and a death date, would this kind of information be requested from a Licence applicant?]

He Lost a leg during the Siege of Gibraltar, Pensioned 1783, aged 31. " Born Bristol a Shoemaker ".

Died 1812 & buried at Bristol Baptist Burial Grounds [Non Conformist] " An old pensioner age 62 " other Ballard's buried here earlier .

Further Information
http://ballardgen.co.uk/bristol.aspx

His Family Tree
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ballard1/pedigree_charts/brs_1.htm

You can see that my entry for his father is speculative as that is the only place I can find for him but I doubt that he fits here and other leads may help

Better not go to far had I

Had you thought that if he was born to baptist parents then they baptise people as older children or adults.  Not sure if they also baptised them as infants.
