My ancestor, Margaret GORDON, b. abt 1795 in Scotland, was married to John HENDERSON, b. abt 1796 in Scotland, on 4 Sep 1822 at Gartly,Aberdeen,Scotland.  They had four children born in Scotland before they emigrated to America: Violet, christened 3 Jan 1824 Clatt, Aberdeen, Scotland; Mary, christened 6 Jan 1825 Clatt, Aberdeen, Scotland; Louisa, b. abt 1829 Scotland; David, b. 1832 Aberdeen.  I would be interested in learning about either line.

I too am researching a Joseph Robertson.  I recently received a possibility, reported to be from the IGI British Isles section.    I am grasping at straws!
"Joseph Robertson
Male family.  Parents names, Joseph & Agnes Pirie,
Joseph Robertson, male Christening 17 Mar 1776, Rhynie And Essie, Aberdeen, Scotland".

As my "Joseph Rainey Robertson, b. 1760-1780 in Scotland"  married a Susannah Johnson, b. 1760-1780 (no location known) on 24 Nov. 1795 in Madison Co., KY, the date above is a good possibility.
His marriage certificate lists him as Robinson, but all 8 children are named Robertson.  Probably a clerical error.
I would appreciate if someone locally could check the references, and help me confirm/or deny that the above
Joseph Robertson is or isn't mine.
Any informaiton will be greatly appreciated, and I will gladly share what I have on my Joseph and his children.

thank you,
JOhn Robertson

This is all I know about my husband's GORDON ancestor:
Margaret GORDON, b. abt 1795 in Scotland, was married to John HENDERSON, b. abt 1796 in Scotland, on 4 Sep 1822 at Gartly,Aberdeen,Scotland.

Can you give me any additional info on GORDONs at Gartly?

I'm sorry, but I don't have any Gordens naywhere in my lines.  I don't even remember having seen the name in the places I have searched, or posted.
I wish I could help, but not able to.

I am researching both the names HAY and INNES.  We know that some of the family was out at Knockando & Rothes in Moray, but family was also around the Midmar, Kintore, Cluny areas to name a few.  I would be interested to know what families you are currently researching.   :)

Hi Leslie48
I also have MORRISONS in Cairnie area.

My 2xgreat grandfather George b 1813  lived with (cant find marriage cert ) and had 6 children with Jane Simpson b 1829 Cavinic .Their son Charles b 1855 Oakbank marr Barbara Pirie b 1879 Cairnie. I am keen to find out about other children of George and Jane as his will shows 6.  Barbara's parents were James Michael Pirie b ~1837 Cairnie and Magaret Ogg b~1843 Ruthven.

We have drawn a blank following back from George - his birth was in Gartly Aberdeen - but have found no further info
