Jennifer,

My name is Malcolm McBain and I was wondering if you are still researching your McBain roots. I am also from the McBain family that went down south. My grandfather was Henry Turnbull McBain a brother of Alexander Turnbull McBain. I have a family story about the death of Duncan McBean that I would like to share with you if you are interested.

Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

Many thanks for the post.  I returned from holiday last evening and read it this morning. I would be very interested to hear your story.  John Mooney, another relative tells me that he has passed on his research to you.  I will be adding my tree from Alexander Turnbull down when I can make a good job of printing it and will send you a copy if you are interested.  My branch got no further than England.

Best wishes,

Jenny
