Link between Durham Jamesons and Hull?
« on: Friday 15 August 08 00:46 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anybody can help? I have traced back to Thomas Jameson born approx 1817 (don't know where). He was married to Eleanor Wise, probably between 1838 and 1841. She is from York. In 1841 they are living with their first born (William) in Hull with William and Mary Jameson and other siblings. Temptation is to assume this is Thomas's parents. He died (i think) in 1847 and Eleanor remarried - I have all the info on the family from there on. Researching William and Mary is difficult because William is also missing (resume died) from 1851 census. Mary is however from Darlington (Durham).

Just to complicate more in 1851 Mary is living with Jane Balmer who is noted as daughter (I believe this is Jane Bulmer married in Hull). Jane is not howeve on the 1841 census in Hull but could be in Kirkby Fleetham living with a Thomas and Elizabeth Jameson!!

Any leads would be helpful
