Norwich Union
« on: Monday 12 April 04 02:45 BST (UK) »
Hope some one can help.  I now believe that my great grandmother died under the care of the Norwich Union sometime in late 1884 or early 1885.   From there my grandmother was taken to the Orphange of Mercy operated by the "Kilburn Sisters.

I wonder if it would be possible to find a death record for my great grandmother.   The last name should be Spinks.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Harold,
If you go to free BMD you can see a list of Spinks deaths in that time frame. If you know her Christian name then you could identify her if she is there and purchase a certificate if required. The records are being transcribed all the time so the site is updated regularly. Good Luck, Frances
