1911 census- update?
« on: Monday 06 October 08 13:15 BST (UK) »
Just went to check if there's any more word of Antrim, Down & Kerry being added to the National Archives website and the message (under future plans) has change (earlier said the 3 counties would be added in October 2008).

"The records for 1911 are being digitised first, then those for 1901. The order in which counties will be made available, starting in December 2007, with 1911, is:
Dublin
Kerry
Antrim & Down... "

Has anyone heard any word lately about what's happening?

Thanks for your reply. Just thought it strange that last time I looked it mentioned the 3 counties being added in October 2008 and now it's back to the original message. Will just have to wait and see what happens.

Very curious indeed. It is back to coming in Octobert 2008 message again but when I started this thread 5 hours ago I got the message I quoted above. Maybe it means they are getting ready to add information?

Strangely enough this message is now on the site under Future Plans:
"The records for 1911 are being digitised first, then those for 1901. The order in which counties will be made available, starting in December 2007, with 1911, is:
Dublin
Kerry
Antrim & Down "
(bold type is on the site)
