Look up offer Kirkmahoe OPR Burials
« on: Wednesday 08 October 08 09:13 BST (UK) »
As it says I have the booklet. It wasn't of much use to me but I'd be happy to do look ups if it helps anyone else out.

There isn't a great coverage as it only goes from 1729-1748 and 1800-1818. Also it generally covers the purchase of mortcloths so doesn't necessarily mean the person listed was buried.

Hi Tracey  :)

I think I'm interested in the years that don't exist but would be very grateful for anything on Burges(s), Watret and Spalding (sometimes Pauling, Spadie, etc.)

Thanks

Its looks like the Kirkmahoe records were not very well kept unfortunately :(

Fingers crossed some of these may be yours!

Watret

Mary Watret, wife of Wm Porter, mortcloth                     Feb 1736

Thank you, Tracey. That's interesting - there's a Porter there as well. I'm going to have to work this lot out!

John may have been buried in one of the gap years. The Crombie may not be related, but I dont think spelling was the minister's/ school master's strong point so you never know, which is why I listed it.

hi again tracey,

yes david is definitely one of mine, b. 1796 d.1803.   i think brandyburn must have been a farm.  so great, thats a little mystery sorted.

james crombie,  i agree with you he could well be a crosbie.  he doesn't fit in at  present but he will go on file as a possible.

i have another look up for you if thats ok.  wauchope scott

regards
