Is there anyone who may be able to do a Grave lookup for me please, in Saltwood Churchyard / Cemetery, Hythe, Kent.

My family has a Gt Grandad, John Cameron Frew, buried there.

He died on 15th March 1927, aged 70 years.
 
If someone could locate the Grave and send me a photo of his Grave and any others bearing the name of Frew, I would be most grateful.

Any other graves in name Frew in/around Hythe/Saltwood are very likley to be this family, so we'd appreciate photos/detail. Some names might be:

Mary May Frew,  Died 25th  February 1906,  aged  16 years.

Doris Alberta Frew, Died 25th January 1905,  aged 21 months.

Alexander Frew, Died 4th July1916, (in WWI in Basra) aged 18 years.

Thanks for your reply, I have had family to stay for the last 10 days so this is my 1st chance to get back to you.

I have the Obituary for my Gt Grandad John Cameron Frew which  states that the funeral took place at Saltwood Churchyard and coffin was taken to cemetery (or do they mean churchyard ?) by gun carriage.

His wife died many years later, in WW11, and she is buried in Shropshire where she had gone to live with her daughter to avoid the bombings etc on the south coast.

I do have a photo of her grave and iI would like to have one of her husbands grave also.

I'd be really grateful if anyone can help.

It does sound like Saltwood church doesn't it?  Otherwise it would probably be one of the municipal cemeteries in Seabrook or Folkestone both of which are a little distance away.

Yes, I believe that Saltwood Churchyard is where John Cameron Frew was buried in March 1927.
So if anyone has a reason to visit the Churchyard and is able locate the grave & take a photo, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi,

 Having made no progress in this area to date, I'm resurrecting this old post after nearly 5 years, in the hope that someone may be able to help me with regards to possibly finding the grave of my Grandad - in - law who I believe to be buried in Saltwood Churchyard/Cemetery, Hythe, Kent and could take a photo for me please.

Name: John Cameron Frew.

Date of Death: 15th March 1927.

Age: 70 Years.

There may be other family members buried with him or buried near to his grave, whose details I have listed in previous entries in this Post. If there are, a photo of those graves also would be an added bonus.

I would really appreciate it if some kind Rootschatter could help me with this request  please.
