Does anyone know what good courses are available in genealogy, preferably leading to a decent qualification?

The only one I have done is through Oxford University, which ends in an advanced diploma in local history (internet based). You would need to apply this summer for the 2005 - 6 intake:

http://www.tall.ox.ac.uk/localhistory/requirements/who-apply.asp

It is costly though :P & it is not Genealogy but Local History, Statistics feature heavily in this course and you need to know Excel and Access databases

I did post this link some time ago here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,2222.0.html

Both sound interesting - I am a history nut as well as a genealogy nut!

Thanks both of you.
