1871 census for Winshill gone astray
« on: Thursday 20 November 08 19:56 GMT (UK) »
I have spend many hours reading through every page of this census and surrounding villages looking for a family that were in the earlier and later censuses, but no luck, suddenly today I had a thought, had they moved temporarily? so looked under Staffs giving name but no further facts and there they were, in Burton on Trent, Staffs, but the image showed that it was the census for Winshill. Fortunately it was an unusual Christian name but if you have a similar problem try that. Obviously at some stage some pages went astray.

Thanks for the advice. I am researching the Goodhead family and most of them seem to have disappeared in the 1871 cencus. I will follow your advice.
