HELP !!!!!!

hello anybody! I've just come across this site by accident.I've only just started looking for my ancestors.My parents died when I was a child so I havn't much info to start with.I managed to find the 1901 census and think I found my grandmother.My mother's family were from Llanberis Nth Wales and my father's from Liverpool.I've spent hours on line trying to find records I can access (without too much cost!)but had no luck.Does anyone have any tips please?
ps. I'm not very computer literate either so nothing too technical please.

Would you expect anyone on the 1881 census?  That is anyone you know the name of.  If you do you'll find it online at:-

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp

This will help you get back a generation.  fter that you often need to buy certificates for births, marriages and deaths.  I'm in the same boat I started my wesh research with just one name.  I have only got back to 1800 but I'm pleased.

Hello Cathy,

I am sorry to hear you lost your parents as a child, it must have been very tough for you ! Lets hope your research can give you some information about your family.

A question for you, Do you have any paperwork connected to your family such as birth certificates, Marriages or Death Certificates, they contain so much information !! I even find myself things I have missed on first look !
