George & Mary Martin based in Stottesdon.

Hi everyone. 

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about a George Martin based in the Stottesdon area before 1841. He was once married to someone called Mary but passed away before the 1841 census.

According to the 1841 census Mary is living with someone called Richard Gilson and by 1961 they are claiming that they are married. I am trying to discover Mary's original maiden name and which of the children came from her first marriage.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
