Nothing on Northern Ireland though....Unsurprisingly  ;D

Likewise on the Cyprus pages, I was there from 1956-58 and the article gives a different picture to the one I observed. However we did spend most of the time locked down and were only allowed out of the base (RAF Akrotiri) in armed groups which did not really appeal to me. However we did have numerous "terrorist" incedents on the base one of which resulted in the destruction of the communications squadron hangar and most of the aircraft located in it. One of the reports in the printed media referred to the culprit being a "gorilla on a motorcycle" which caused some amusement.
