My gggrandfather is Thomas Jones -b 1801 Norwich Norfolk (no record)
By 1824 he had married Catherine ? b Llanrwst about 1795
Son John Jones b Aug 1824 Weslyian Llanrwst (IGI)
1826/7 Moved to Beaumaris - 4 children born
1833/4 Moved to Bangor - 1 child born
1844/51 Moved to Manchster - all history known
1841 Census shows Catherine and all children in Dean Street Bangor
1841 Census shows Thomas Jones staying in Llanrwst Willow Street with his sisters Mary Jones 45 and Jane Jones 45 Mary's Son Richard Jones 10 and James Pugh 20 - Mary and Jane are dressmakers and James is a shoe maker. Thomas Jones is a Painter.
1851 Census shows Mary Jane and son Richard Jones living at Penisa??? Llanrwst may well be Little Bridge Street?
I know that the Pugh family are relatives and that James was born in Capel Curig. James had a sister Jane Pugh who by 17 was aNurse at the Free School and then went to stay with the Jones family in Manchester as a dressmaker. She is recorded as cousin to Jones.
Therefore Catherine may well have be a Pugh or her sister married a Pugh - the plot thickens!
I cannot find the marriage between Thomas Jones and Catherine or the birth of Catherine. The only other vague information is a connection with Llandogged
I know Llanrwst quite well as I lived in Bryn Beddau Nant y Rhiw some years back.
