I'm not 100% sure.  They are unmarked graves too, which is quite odd ....

I am wondering if they were the deaths from the isolation hospital ?  That was demolished a long time ago .....

I have a contact for St Sannon, and be happy to give you their e-mail - I know they get a lot of requests for look ups and do so at a small charge for the Church, but I know they'll be happy to search for you.

Just because it says Bedwelty on her Death registration does not mean she was buried at that church as Bedwelty was the parish area which covered Argoed, Bargoed, Blackwood, Briery Hill, Ebbw Vale, George Town, New Town, Pengam, Pontygof, Rock, Rhymney, Tredegar, New Tredegar and Victoria. Where was she living when she died ? Address should be on the death certificate. Failing that where was she married and or christened ? Possibly buried in same church.

Hi,saphiregirl,

my grandfather's small birth certificate gives his birthplace as Rock Bedwelty. When we sent for the full cert it gives his birth as 6 Elm Street,Aberbargoed.Presuming from your post that  Rock Bedwelty is part of Aberbargoed. I was wondering where grandfather would have been christened-what would be the nearest church to this address.

Regards.
