tied cottage
« on: Sunday 15 February 09 23:39 GMT (UK) »
If someone was employed  worked at Roe park, Limavady, had a cottage that was probably tied, and then was given another cottage to live in for life,  but this then extended into his childrens and then his grandchildrens lives, where would I find documents??
I'm thinking at least 1900- 1990 as far as I know

and then why would a cottage for life be given??
there must be something written down

You may have found the information you were looking for by now but if not- Valuation Revision Books are now online and follow each townland from the printed version of Griffith's Valuation until c1930.
