? News report re fire Fingringhoe c.1900

I don't know whether anyone can help me.

I have recently obtained a copy of my granduncles journal. In it he reports that the house my g.granfathers house was destroyed by fire before they moved in.

The event was c.1900, the family were in the rebuilt address for the 1901 census.

I am wondering if anyone has access to local historical newspapers and whether there was any report of the fire.

The house was Laurel House, Fingringhoe. Any information gratefully received.
