I have found more children for Elizabeth and children for Deborah on bdm historical records search.
Elizabeth had three further sons born in New Zealand. They were
Clement Frankham born 1876
Harold Frankham born 1878
John Frankham born 1881
There is a gap of 6 years after her last English born child in 1870 but this period included the voyage to New Zealand.
This establishes Trooper Harold Frankham (see earlier posts) who died after the Boer War as her son.
I have found a marriage for CLement to Ida Sankey in 1903
Deborah had four children
Norman Gribble born 1885
Charles born 1882
DOrothea born 1889
Frank born 1890
I am trying to establish whether her husband Charles Gribble was born in New Zealand or travelled out at a similar time to Deborah. I have found an earlier family living there. Also references to Charles Gribble, a teacher, but not sure if this is the same one.
To me this is a less common name than Frankham and should be easier to follow up, but it seems the other way round in the New Zealand Archives.
It is possibly worth mentioning that Elizabeth and Deborah's family were BAptists. At least three of their siblings were church leaders and preachers. SO it is possible that these families were active in the early Baptist Church in New Zealand. Has anyone any advice on how I might check this out.
Thanks for the help so far. I am really enjoying following these tow families.
