Hello,

It is possible that Wiliam W Tarry you refer to is my great grandfather.
Born  in Holcot circa 1833 to John Tarry 1796-1847 and Elizabeth Walmsley 1798-1845.
My research is incomplete but I believe his siblings were, John 1826, Daniel 1828, George 1830 and Briscoe 1835.

William W Tarry married Sarah Mobbs around 1869, and their children were Ann 1870, Elizabeth Agar 1874, Fanny 1876, John 1878, and my grandfather, Bertie Mason Tarry born 1881.

I believe Elizabeth Walmsleys parents were William Walmsley and Isabella Agar.
I would love more information regarding she and her husband John.

From other posts in this forum it appears to be that my Elizabeth Warmsley is Elizabeth Mortimer Briscoe Tarry.
This would seem to be reinforced by the names given to her Children, Briscoe and Elizabeth Agar.

Hope this is of interest and a little helpful to you.

regards

Margie

Your post on rootschat mentions that some of the Tarry line of Northamptonshire went to London.  I am looking for a connection to Samuel Tarry who had a son Samuel who married Jane Harding at St. Alphege in London, and when he died in 1767 was listed as "gentleman" on the parish register at St. Alphege.  The Samuel that died in 1767 also had a son Samuel who was a boatbuilder and a son John (my GGGG grandfather) who was a carpenter.  Do  you know of any connection to the Northamptonshire Tarrys?

Thanks!
