Yes it looks like Richard was raised Protestant and although yet to be proven by baptism I suspect Ann was raised RC. A mixed marriage. Richard may or may not have converted if he converted there will be an adult baptism somewhere. The absence of online baptisms suggests their children were raised RC but this too is not yet proven. The birth locations of the children are tricky. I thought the son Richard being born in Birkenhead in 1847 might help but no luck. He might have been baptised at St Werburgh RC the only RC church in Birkenhead at that time. Unfortunately the records again are not online they are at Cheshire Record Office.
