Hello, Scot1,

Have you seen the 1901 census entry ?

Parish Rosskeen, ED2 page 12  line 25
RollCSSCT 1901_21;yera:1901
Ross & Cromerty,
address  Strathy

Hugh Fraser  age 45
Helen Fraser  ager 50
Thos. McRae  age 27
Roderichkina McRae  age 25
Wm. Fraser  age 16
Hector Fraser  age 15 occupation   Forester's Labourer.
Alex. Fraser  age 15
Hugh Fraser  age 13
Annie  Fraser age 10

This looks as tho' thos could have been a second family for Helen, two children by her first husband surname McRae , her maiden name being Munro,

Thanks for that yes Helen Macrae M s Munro married Hugh Fraser 1882 at Kiltern and is down as a widower they are my g grand parents just don't now if the Hector Fraser that was killed in the war is their son. There is also a William Fraser from Alness that was in the same regiment and also died in Action just trying to see if they are brothers the Hugh on that census is my granddad
