Alexander and Mary (Eustace) Mills are buried in Candie Cemetery which is just opposite the Priaulx Library.

Regarding death or burial records for John Eustace, his wife Elizabeth and son George, all the records for St. Peter Port and available burial indexes for other parish churches have been checked but no records were found.

Huge amount of work done on our Mills roots, thanks Craig!!
And I note the W-Methodist marriage, so I am thinking Alex senior must be too??
Ahh so wonderful to have another jigsaw puzzle - really appreciate your efforts and for sharing the details.

Hi there, do you mean the W Methodist baptisms above? I'm not sure why they got some of their children baptized there, Alexander (b. 1819) and Mary Eustace got married in the Town Church which was Anglican.

Hi, looking at the Archives UK website on their records search engine Discovery you can download for free the Description Books for the 4th (later 2nd) Garrison Battalion in which Alexander Mills was enlisted. One Description Book (reference WO 25/571) has a total of 87 images, and records Alexander Mills on images 25 and 63. Both images indicate where he was born; the County, Fermanagh, is reasonably clear, but the parish is less easy to read. Can anyone else decipher this record?
Regards,
Craigt.

Templecarn fits in with what AlisonJean was thinking in a conversation I had with her some time ago "There are a number of 'Alexander Mills' on the IGI for Templecarn parish earliest is 1800 though".
and here's a map of the parishes.
http://www.ballynagarrick.net/ulsterancestors/Parishes%20of%20County%20Fermanagh.htm

Templecarn is listed as number 20, in the upper left in area of Lower Lough Ern.

As for the very hard to read records, I hope someone is able to discern his 'complexion/hair/trade' details (and those curly numbers for his age !!)
