Their birth certificates would help   :)

William Troy  Q2. 1911 Swansea  Vol 11a.  pg.  1213

Beatrice Maud Demery Q1. 1908  Swansea  Vol. 11a  Pg. 1257

There are a number of marriages for Demery in Swansea,  and for Troy, so to find the correct ones their parents' names will be necessary  :)

Hello Wales

Have you located births for these two?

Birth

TROY William
Swansea 11a 1213
June Quarter 1911

DEMERY Beatrice
Swansea 11a 1257
March Quarter 1908

The certs will give parents' names as you know.

Glamorgan is among the first of the Welsh 1911 census counties - due to be released in a matter of weeks now.

Interestingly there is a Beatrice DEMERY born in Neath in 1897 - I would suspect a connection, with such unusual names.

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)
Oh snap Mum!

Hello Wales,
there is a marriage for your couple 1931 which would also confirm fathers' details etc.

Where/what/who is the Rook connection?

best wishes
heywood

Hi Wales

The key to getting help with look-ups is to tell us what you know, what resources you have already obtained (or places  you have looked and not found anything) and crucially what help you still require.

You say you "have the marriage" - can you post full details of the marriage certificate, including fathers' names, occupations, addresses and witnesses please?

The more you tell us, the better we can help.

An extra Rootschat rule - we don't post details of living people, in order to protect their privacy and prevent identity theft - thanks for you cooperation with this.

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Hello again,
if you have their marriage certificate, that will give William and Beatrice's fathers' names so that would then help with 1901 census. Have you looked in 1901 census for the names?
regards
heywood
