Thomas Sargent and Ellis ( Alice) Packham.
I have the Sargent book and am trying to update the book.

occupations if known
where the family lived (what town and county)

There is a site  freebmd which has the bdms for after 1837 until early 20th C.

If you goo**e for freebmd and search there you will get marriage dates for the children .

Have you looked for the family in 1841 census?

I had a quick look but couldn't see this family group in the 41 or 51 census.

I found a Sophia age 14 and Elizabeth Sargant age 15 (sic), female servants in the house of George Blake in Pyecombe Sussex.

There are several Sarg*nt families in Sussex but without birth dates of the children it is impossible to know which are the correct families. Do you know birth dates and places of the children?

I couldn't see a Thomas b 1798 or Alice/Ellis b 1806. The name may have been mistranscribed, or perhaps the parents had died and the children dispersed?

I don't have time to check more thoroughly at the moment, but I hope someone else comes to your rescue.

Thomas Sargent & Alice Packham.

There was no extra info.

Hello Tracey,
I realise this is a very old post but.....
Thomas and Ellis migrated to Australia. The Sutton Forrest you refer to is in New South Wales.
Thomas died 20.1.1877 in Booroowa NSW and Ellis d 21.10.1863 in South Australia.

Ellis' brother Samuel married my 4 X great grandmother Hannah RANSOM.
If you would like any more information about this family please let me know

I also have the book my brother lives in England and I am trying to source the book for him hoping that the Lutheren Archives can source a copy or if anyone out there knows of a copy i could aquire that would be great as the publishing house no longer exists. Im hoping once he has the book he may be able to find out more info further back regarding Thomas Sargent senior Bailiff of Beckley who was married to Jane Sargent (nee Osborne) maybe there brothers and sisters could lead us to the next generation back.

Interestingly my GGG Grandmother Jane Sargents last 2 children were twins
