1841 census James Lynch.
« on: Friday 22 May 09 17:03 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Hope somebody can help me find James Lynch, b. Ireland, abt, 1817. on the 1841 census. I have him on both 1851 and 1861, but am trying to find when he arrived in Edinburgh.

On the 1851 he has a son William age 9 who was born in Edinburgh, which means he was born abt. 1842.

It,s possible he came to Edinburgh after the census in 1841. Might give me more to go in my searching in Ireland.

Have looked on SP people but couldn,t find him. Prehaps a new pair of eyes would do the trick.

Cheers,

Mary

Hi Capricorn.

Thanks for your reply. I,m afraid it,s not my James, though, I think I,ve seen it before.

My James was married to Ann, ms Rooney, and children, William, Mary, and Ann.
Prehaps he hadn,t come over from Ireland by the 1841 census.

Thanks for trying though.

Mary

The children were all born after 1842
