Hi,

Would anyone be able to help me with census records for a many times great uncle of mine?

Francis Hosier Hart was born on the 19th January 1835, in Bethnal Green, Middlesex. He was baptised on the 15th February 1835 in St Matthew's Church, in Bethnal Green, London.

His parents were Henry Hart and Anna Maria Smith.

I believe he married in the December quarter of 1861 in Greenwich.

Any assistance locating him is very much appreciated.

FreeBMD shows two marriages for a Francis Hosier HART... one in 1861 Greenwich  and then another in 1862 Thanet.

I don't know if he was a seaman pam, might have been, but really wouldn't know.

That's his family in 1851 Karenlee.

Just wondering what became of him, whether he ended up staying in England.

Well there is a death for a Francis Hosier HART 1890 Lewisham, so it looks like he stayed in England.  If he was a seaman or a sailor, he may not be around for all the Census though, so may not find him....

The Francis Hosier Hart that died in 1890 Lewisham was born 1807 he is on the 1881 census age 74.
I cannot find him if only you knew his wifes name.

It does seem as if there are two with the Hosier Name
Must be a relation of some sorts  four of the children  of Henry and Anna Marie were born Lee Kent.
