Another of my web sites from when I used to sky dive at Shobdon airfield in the 1980's.
Shobdon airfield not too far away from RAF Hereford was a glider pilot traing airfield during WW2 and the link will take you to a couple of photo's that were sent to me but unfortunately I have no further information with regards to names etc otrher that to say that the background fully supports that they were taken at Shobdon.

Well here are the two but as I say I have no information about them and would welcome any if someone can help or even some more photo's of Shobdon if anyone has them.

I have the same image of the 8 men [one piggy backing]. The reverse of my copy says 'Hockley Heath 1944', written by Edgar Thomas Abbott, who is wearing the goggles in the image. The second image I don't have, but Tom Abbott is on the right
