I would have thought so.

Why don't you post a look up request on the Berks Board for an 1851 census look up before you start forking out good money - I might have sent you on a wild goose chase!!  ::)

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

Don't know if this is of any help but there is a John GOODWIN, Servant, Quainton, on the Bucks Posse Comitatus.

Thanks for that.  I made a search and was able to download the Posse Comitatus from this link:

It's a wonderful document and will be of great interest to look through.  I found the John Goodwin - servant and this is the first piece of additional information I've found to date.  Hopefully, this might be the man I'm looking for but obviously, I need to make further efforts to confirm this.
