Hi Jennifer

isee gateshead is a very good site for anyone with an interest in Gateshead.  It's an ongoing project and is growing all the time

A tip if you're going to use it - enter what you're looking for then choose "Exact Phrase" in the next box.  If, say, you search for "High Street" and choose "Exact Phrase" it returns 275 records.  If however you choose "Any Words" it cuts out after returning 1000 records (ie. those which contain the words High and/or Street)

I've found quite a few photos connected, in one way or another, with my relatives

John

Hi, just joined this site. Teams paper Mill was located down past the bottom of Derwentwater Road/Askew Road. The gut ran past and papermill square was next to the mill. My late grandfather was foreman there about 1946 and lived in the managers house in Papermill Square with his family.
