Hi Marg

I have tried to find them in the 1901 Census to discover the father's name but without success I'm afraid.

There are a couple of births, which will give you the parents names if you think it is the correct family

Births Mar 1889
Jones    Margaret Jane         Lampeter    11b   31

But I think it could be the following due to the date in the 1891 census taken on 5th April

Births Jun 1890
Jones    Margaret Jane    Lampeter    11b    31

:D  HELLO WENDY,, Thank you for your reply and taking the time to look,, I would like to think that this is her because so many things tie in, the childrens names are very similar to her own siblings, her mothers name was ANN ELIZABETH, sisters Mary Jane, and Margaret, Emma Jane , Louisaand my husbands G/mother Mary Rosina I hope that Elizabeth is the sister of my husbands G/mother, they were born at Rotherhithe in London   to Ann Elisabeth and John Jones, about 1865 the mother died, leaving 5 daughters,my husbands G/mother came down from London    when she was about6yrs and was a servant  at COEDYGOF farm, she married Thomas Davies in 1883,and I new that my F/I law,her son, was from Betws Bledrws  and the family were brought up there, his mother Mary Rosina also had a son ENOCH so that again ties in, doesn`t it, so where do I go from here? try a marriage cert first I think just to see if her father was John Jones , if so that is the sister i`m looking for,,

  Many thanks again Wendy,   MARG,,,,

:)  Hi wendy, just went to write these possible births down, but they are JONES should they be EVANS as her married name is Evans, just an after thought, could you look and see if Elizabeth is somewhere in that area on the 1871 census, if she is then she could have come down with her sister Mary Rosina about the same time, (only if you don`t mind looking) Many thanks again Marg,,

Births Jun 1889
Evans    Margaret Jane    Lampeter    11b    39

 Births Dec 1889
EVANS    Margaret Jane    Lampeter    11b    36

There is one in 1891 but I think that is too late.

:)  Hi! Thanks again Wendy, I`m sure this IS her, her age is spot on with her date of birth,  I found her on the 1881  living with the same family as you found on the 1871, both sisters were in service at differant farms for many years, a definate certificate I think to prove it,,  Many thanks once again,  Marg,,,
