Hi Dawn

Where were Francis and Annie married and how old were they? I don't see them on a first trawl in Scotland or England and Wales.

Does this look like Francis and his parents in 1901:

54 Lyon Street, Glasgow St George in the Fields (Milton)
644/8 ED 41 P 12

Robert Anderson, 38, butcher, b. Ireland
Lizzie Anderson, w, 36
Mary Burns, step d, 17, bottle washer
Jeanie Burns, stp d, 14, Grocer's servant
George Burns, step s, 14, Tea boy
Robert Burns, step s, 10,
Lizzie Burns, step d, 8
Elinor Anderson, d, 6
Josephine Anderson, d, 1 (?)
Annie Anderson, d, 3
Baby Anderson, s, under 1 month - possibly Francis

All except Robert b. Glasgow

I'm not sure how much more I can do tonight - poor internet connection.

added - it might be worth you following this line back on Scotlands People  to a marriage between Robert and Elizabeth. This should give their parents's names and occupations.

Hi

I'm not sure if Robert Armstrong and Elizabeth Ambrose married - certainly they weren't married when Francis was born on March 27th 1901.

The birth certificate records Francis Knight Anderson as illegitimate. Born Lyon Street*, Glasgow.

Parents - Robert Anderson, butcher (master) and Elizabeth Ambrose, widow of Robert Burns, Iron Fitter,  who died Manchester, 18th March 1896.

* as above census record.
