Can anyone find the following family on the 1861 census please

Simon Walker b1811 Manchester, Lancashire

Elizabeth Brighty Walker b1850 East London (2 253)

James Gouldy Walker b1855 Westham, Essex (4a 23)

Loretta

Guess you have them in 1851 living at 43 Barbican, Cripplegate, Simon being a Beer shop keeper. Elizabeth the daughter 3mo old.

Thomas JB who was in the Navy in 1881 then gives his birthplace as Covent Garden.

From IGI
Elizabeth Brighty WALKER, born 23 Dec 1850, bapt 8 Jun 1851, St Giles, Cripplegate, parents Simon and Elizabeth
Thomas John Brightey WALKER, born 3 Jan 1853, bapt 10 May 1868, St Mary Magdalene, Woolwich, parents Simon & Elizabeth
James Gouldy WALKER, born 23 Dec 1855, bapt 10 May 1868, St Mary Magdalene, Woolwich, parents Simon & Elizabeth

Can't find them in 1861, but there are some parts of Middlesex missing for that year. Not sure which areas though.

All I can find at the moment is Simon WALKER, beer retailer of 43 Barbican, London from an 1852 directory which matches 1851 census.

There is a notice in the London Gazette for the partnership between Simon WALKER and Charles HAMBRIDGE of 73 Curtain Road, St Leonards, Shoreditch, coachsmiths to be dissolved 24 Feb 1863.  I haven't checked this Simon WALKER out yet to see if he could be the same man.  There may be no connection - just worth hanging on to for now.  I have checked and the HAMBRIDGE family were living at 73 Curtain Road.

I have noticed that Elizabeth WALKER (the wife) is in Erith, Kent 1881.

Kirsty - according to marriage certificate George Herbert Walker was illegitimate (not legitimate).

You don't give us any dates but marriage certificate 1909 would suggest his birthdate ca.1885/1886.

Do you have George and Ada on 1911 census?   If so, where was he born?

The only illegitimate George Herbert Walker born in the timeframe was one whose birth was registered Mar.qtr.1886 Rugby, Warwickshire.
