Lisa NEALE b. 1902 at Aston, Birmingham?
« on: Friday 31 July 09 02:31 BST (UK) »
A long while ago my grandfather mentioned that his father had a younger sister who was born & died in about 1902. Her name was "Lisa" Neale as far as I know. The problem is I can find no record of her at all.

In 1901, her parents, George & Louisa Neale, were living at the address 2 Hay Mill Cottage, Coventry Rd, Aston, Birmingham, along with their three sons George Leonard, William and Arthur Charles. By 1911, the family was living in the Solihull part of Birmingham. I'm guessing Lisa would have been born and died in Aston.

Does anyone have any ideas to progress any further with this - I would like to at least know her "official" name since there doesn't seem to be any Lisa Neale in England at the time.

Thanks,
Alexander

Thanks, but I don't think that one works. Lisa's brothers were:
George Leonard Neale (b. 5 Oct 1896, Stourport, Worcestershire)
William Neale (b. 1898, Stourport)
Arthur Charles Neale (b. 1899, Droitwich)

So I don't think that Lisa's parents could have had any more children between the period 1896-1899 (they were married in 1896). Seeing Lisa's not on the census, I assume that she was born around 1901-1903, that period. When she died, I think she was around six months old (though I could be wrong).

I was thinking that Lisa might be short for Elizabeth or Louisa perhaps?

Thanks,
Alexander
