*Completed*Arundel HARDING in 1841 Census
« on: Monday 03 August 09 06:36 BST (UK) »
Could SKS please let me have the details for Arundel (spelt Arrundel) HARDING, aged 20,  in the 1841 Census of Guernsey and Adjacent Islands?

I'm hoping that she will be from Somerset and that she will be visiting a relative - perhaps a brother or sister - at the time of the 1841 census.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Many thanks Tati.

I wonder if Mary could be an older sister?  At least now I can look for a marriage in Somerset between Mary HARDING and ?? Hunt, probably around 1831?

Thanks so much for this lookup

Best wishes

Phil

If anyone is researching this family, there is a fascinating biography of John HUNT and his wife <Mary HARDING here: http://envor2004.free.fr/cariboost1/crbst_89.html

He moved backwards and forwards between England, the Channel Islands and France, and ended up moving to Australia in 1868, where he died in Victoria in 1876.

The biography is in French.

Kind regards
