« on: Friday 07 August 09 13:29 BST (UK) »
I have now uploaded a 1935 street plan of Glasgow for the benefit of members researching the city. To access the map go to http://www.artus-familyhistory.com/source/Early%20Maps.html/source/Early%20Maps.html and click on the Glasgow 1935 link.
Enjoy.

Great Eric. Good to have. I've got a small collection of maps of Glasgow but not one from this era.

Thanks

You're welcome, Dave. Seems to be one of the most popular maps I've put up.
Dozens of views already.

Eric

That's brilliant - thanks for putting it online! The Manchester maps are pretty neat too.

Thanks, Maggie. The reason that I began the maps project initially was because I could never find a decent on-line street map. Now I get hits from every area imaginable. I even had a visit from someone in Vatican city http://www.artus-familyhistory.com/source/Early%20Maps.html/source/Pics.html  few weeks ago!
Regards.

Now, that's an impressive hit!  :)
Any chance you'll get access to THEIR records?  ;D

Hi, Dave. Probably just checking up on me.  :) But, seriously, I get hits from lots of educational institutions, councils and schools. Some folks browse for hours, occasionally.
By the way, is that a Tawny you have in your picture? I kept one when I was a young lad. Beautiful bird.
