Fingers crossed this time, I have sent away for another certificate and God willing it will show Richard and Catherine as my Great Great Grandparents!

Well birth certificate of Richard Cardiff has arrived born 02/10/1874, parents Richard Cardiff and Catherine Ropiter (Rossiter).
It states Richard junior was born in Rathshillane which I cannot seem to find much info on, is this place in Tacumshin anyone?

I have a Richard Cardiff born around 1838 in my family tree. He was married to Catherine Rossiter. I've picked up 3 children so far Thomas born 1872 Johanna (my G Grandmother) born 1879 and Catherine born 1882 due to the big gaps between their ages I assume that there were many more children so this could be the father of your Richard Cardiff. They were from Tacumshin in Wexford.

Carol

This looks like the Church Parish register entry (Rowe St church - Wexford Town) for the Marriage of your Johanna Cardiff as her father Richard is stated to be resident in Tacumshin. Date: May 31 1906

Curran: Ballyvaloo/Blackwater/Co Wexford/Ireland
Clowery/Farrell: Wexford Town/Ireland

Ormand/Kirwan: Blackwater/Co Wexford/Ireland

Hi,
I'm not a relative but I have been tracking this line as part of my Rossiter one name study.Just wondered if anyone has any info on Catherine please?

I believe her parents to be Denis Rossiter & Bridget Stafford but have little on them. Not sure if Catherine had any siblings.Does anyone know please?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.TIA.

Best wishes, rcuser
