"att. Scamp1234, Hassells in Bowling, Bradford"
« on: Saturday 15 August 09 11:31 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Thanks for the offer, hope it is still open.  St John's, Bowling baptism register for 1888 to about 1894, if it's possible.

Looking for children of Thomas Edward, (brass finisher in 1891) and Mary Hassell immigrants to Bradford in the late 1880s from Hoxton, London.  Charles William Hassell born Dec qtr 1888 (and an IGI source gave it as birth 6 Dec 1888 Bradford), Mary Elizabeth Hassell, born June qtr 1891 and Sarah Elizabeth Hassell, born Sept. qtr 1893.  In the 1891 census they were living at no 510 Wakefield Rd, civil parish of Bowling.  eccles. parish of St John, parliamentary borough of East Bowling.

Could you please look up the baptism registers for St John's.  Thanks very much.

Richard.

Thanks very much, if no luck at St John's, I see that St Barholomew's is the church specified as the ecclesistical parish in the 1901 census (living 8 Clark court, near Wakefield Rd etc) and that a St Luke's is nearby.

Thanks very much and if you need loook ups at the London Metropolitan Archive or Hertford County Archives just let me know - Richard.

Hi Richard,
I had a look today for Hassell's.
Sorry no luck the name is not in the register.
I looked from 1887 to 1995  both churches.
