Birth in Down of Lucinda NODDINGS

Hello,
I am Lucinda's Grandson, and am quite interested to see any information you might have. I am just beginning my search into my family history in the UK, so I do not have much.
She did emigrate to Canada, where she remarried Hubert Caruthers. She had 2 children from her marriage to Berty Purdy; Patricia  and John, who is my father. She passed in September of 1996 and is interred at the Calvin Township Cemetery.

Our family originally came from Yorkshire to N Ireland in the 1830's. They were involved in the flax trade. Lucinda was the granddaughter of Christopher Noddings b 1853 and Lucinda Hopkins, they lived in Seapatrick a small village near Banbridge Co Down. Christopher's father was John Noddings who was born in Yorkshire in 1827 and his mother was Sarah Brown. I am descended from Christopher's brother William John Noddings b 1852.If I can be of further help please contact me.

Hi I know this is an old thread but I’ve just found it. I’m interested in Lucinda Hopkins, she was a witness at my gggrandparents wedding. John Maitland and Sarah Jane Magill. Sarah’s parents were Anthony Magill and Martha Hopkins, so I’m trying to establish if Sarah and Lucinda were cousins ie William hopkins and Martha we’re brother  and sister??
