Sparks FREED
« on: Wednesday 19 August 09 15:48 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am looking for the marriage of Sparks Freed (yes that is his name  ;D) to Sarah.  I believe it would have taken place in Kent around 1843.  Their first child Samuel was born then.
Any help will be welcome.
Thanks
Peter

1851 indicates they weren't young when these children were born. Makes me wonder if there are older children and the marriage was pre 1837

Hi Liz
I like the Jarvis, his Grandson was Frederick Jarvis S Freed.  I think that is the correct one and after all Freed is not the most common of Surnames is it.
Thanks a million ;D

Belinda must be known as Betsy on 1851 census.

Death:
Oct/Nov/Dec 1848
Gravesend 5 130
Joseph Charles Freed

on same page an Alice Freed - another sibling I havent found a christening for? or a more distant rellie?

I wonder where the rest of them are?

1841 - I reckon this is them

HO107 460 10

Pepper Croft Street, Milton

Larvey?? Freed 41 labourer
Sarah 35
Mary 8
Jane 7
Susannah 6
Alice 3
Emily 8 mths

Looks like Sarah Maria is known as Mary, and Thomas Fredrick has either died or is elsewhere on census night.  Rest tie up with christenings niceley!

I guess the survivng girls have all married or moved into service by 1851, hence only Samuel and Betsy (Belinda) were there then.

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex
