Bearup 1700 - 1820 northumbria
« on: Monday 24 August 09 16:02 BST (UK) »
I am trying to piece together the Bearup family of the north of England. I have gleaned alot of info from the usual online resources and from local newspapers of the time. I would be interested to know if anyone else looking into the family

Hi
I've just today found the surname BEARUP in part of my research.
It appears Hannah b married Thomas TOPPING in Northumberland.
One of their children was Richard Bearup Topping, b ~1794.
The birth of another two, Amos and Robert have Robert Bearup as their maternal grandfather.
I've no further information.
....yet

Hi

Good to hear from you. I have not been able to pin Hannah to a particular family line. Did you find the info online or have you been searching the registers? I haven't found a reference to a maternal grandfather on IGI and to view the registers is more than a day trip. 'Hannah' as a first name does apear in other lines of the family though.

Regards
Jenny
