Thank you Julie,
Much appreciated here.
It's the location of Andrew Horace DeLacey before he came to New Zealand about 1874, that I am really after.
Real mystery man as all his children say he was born 1854 Jersey but on one of the children's marriage certificates it has born Guernsey.
Another son James whom was a newspaper reporter in Carterton New Zealand spelt his name DeLacy.
His Grandson Walter DeLacey aged 84 has been searching for over 60 years. No luck poor man. We chat so I am really up with the play.
My Grandmother was Isobel Kate DeLacey, one of Andrew Horace DeLacey's daughters.  She was none the wiser either as she was born and died in New Zealand
Regards
Barry          :(

Thank you very much for your interest.
Yes I sent it to them as Dr Roger Logan BA MA in charge of Foresters Trust was so helpful.
It is people like yourself who help to establish another link:
It is very important to the actual requester of information.
This DeLacey man had a real mystery past and  I can only think he must have skipped ship or similar. Nothing found in Channel Islands or England but certainly name is in Ireland. (Maybe bad boy IRA link here also)
DeLacey is French "De" means 'of' and "Lacy" has meaning also in French.
