Getting nowhere fast in Merthyr Tydfil.
« on: Tuesday 08 March 05 15:17 GMT (UK) »
In the 1901 census my grandfather was aged 14 and living in Merthyr Tydfil. On the census he is shown as in employment as a "engine driver (stationary)".
Does this mean anything to any of you ?. Might it be linked to the mining industry ?.

Thanks Berlin Bob. It's great to be able to tap other people's experience in this way. Your help is appreciated.
