"Wing Commander" Peter Ambrose Whittingham

I have been asked by a friend to try and find out about Peter Ambrose Whittingham. He was born in either India or Kenya and farmed at Thika in Kenya. He married Isabel Anderson-Begg nee Watt. Any information about him or his family would be very helpful.

I'm afraid my friend is really vague about dates but he thinks that his grandfather died in Durban about twelve years ago and that he was about 75 then. I have not been able to find any references to him on the South African sites that I normally use.

Ah, OK - if he died in Durban then some of our South African RCers might be able to help...I will post a message on the SA board, asking people to come and have a look at this thread and see if they can find anything for you

Hi Eve, I was directed to this site when I googled Peter Ambrose Whittingham. Peter was my father and I might be able to help with some information. Prior to Peter marrying Isabel he was married to Jacquie West who is my mother. My half sister, Helen was born to Peter & Isabel and knows a lot more about Peter and his history than I do. I can put you in touch with Helen if that would help.
